There are deals to be had on Amazon ahead of Prime Day. Read on to learn more.
Many Amazon fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Prime Day, which, this year, will take place on July 11 and 12. During that time, you can expect plenty of incredible deals on a host of Amazon products, so it pays to pad your savings account ahead of that big event.
But you also don’t necessarily need to wait for Prime Day to score big savings on Amazon purchases. Here are a few items that are heavily discounted right now.
1. Amazon Fire 7 Kids Tablet
If you’ve been toying with the idea of buying a tablet for your kids, you may not want to wait until Prime Day. After all, at this point, school’s probably out for the summer. And let’s face it — you can only take your kids to the playground so many times before you need a break. Setting them up with a tablet is a good way to buy yourself a little downtime. And right now, Amazon is offering the Fire 7 Kids Tablet for just $54.99. That’s a 50% discount from its usual price of $109.99.
2. Amazon eero Pro mesh wifi router (three-pack)
If you work from home, it’s important to have a solid wireless setup. So if your routers have seen better days, it may be a good time to replace them. Right now, Amazon is offering this three-pack of wifi routers for $149.99. That’s a pretty impressive 69% discount off of the regular $334.97 price. And remember, if you’re self-employed, keep a record of this purchase, because it may be deductible on your taxes (though it’s always a good idea to consult an accountant before claiming deductions).
3. Ring Video Doorbell Wired with Ring Chime
If you’ve been thinking about getting a Ring doorbell system, now’s a good time to act. The Ring video doorbell allows for two-way talk so you can communicate with people who come to your door even if you aren’t home. Right now, Amazon has this model available for $49.99, which is $50 off its usual $99.98 price point.
4. Shark RV1001AE IQ Robot Self-Empty XL, Robot Vacuum
Why spend the time vacuuming your own floors when you could enlist the help of a machine to do it for you? If you have a busy schedule, the time savings alone could be more than worth the money. And right now, Amazon has this Shark model on sale for 50% off of its usual $599.99 price point, bringing your cost down to $299.99.
5. Coleman Carlsbad Dark Room Camping Tent with Screened Porch
Planning your first camping trip this summer? Here’s a not-so-great news flash: Camping can be more expensive than expected when you don’t already have the gear. So if you need to load up, consider buying this four- to six-person Coleman tent while it’s 48% off its usual price of $229.99. That brings your price down to $119.99. The tent is easy to set up and is designed to block 90% of sunlight so you don’t have to get up bright and early if you don’t want to while you’re on vacation.
Taking advantage of these Amazon deals could make a lot of sense. But remember, if you already have credit card debt, you may want to pass on them. And also, you may want to forgo Prime Day shopping as well.
This won’t be the only month for Amazon to offer up discounts. The online retail giant puts out deals all year round. So you may be better off waiting to load up on Amazon purchases until your financial situation improves.
