American Airlines recently adjusted its baggage fee policy to include a bag fee charge for checked bags on all transoceanic flights. Basic economy passengers flying on a transpacific or transatlantic route will be charged $75 each way for their first checked bag. Additional checked bag fees apply for any extra checked bags.
