Smartphones have made a lot of things obsolete — but good manners aren’t one of them. “Table manners have definitely not gone out of style,” says Diane Gottsman, author of “Modern Etiquette for a Better Life,” and founder of the Protocol School of Texas. But table manners may get a bad rap, thanks to outdated ideas. “It’s not about only using the correct fork,” Gottsman says.
