But now it’s October, and according to a Bankrate survey, nearly half of holiday shoppers plan to start their shopping by Halloween, so it’s even more important to grab great deals while you can.

Long holiday shopping lists mean you have lots of people to love, but it also means you’ve got a lot of work to do. That’s why I’ve tracked down nine amazing Costco buys for you for under $55. Let’s take a look together.

Mixing bowls might not make the most dramatic gifts, but they’re incredibly handy for all the holiday cooking that’s coming. And being Pyrex, they’re microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe, too. The ribbed pattern and nesting design will be at home in any size kitchen with any decor.

There’s a lot of value in a good night’s sleep, and getting a bargain on pillows is the best way to slumber. Costco is offering a two-pack of firm Sealy pillows with moisture-wicking technology and microban protection for $16.99 through the month of October.

Compared to Walmart’s price of $34.99, it’s a massive 51% off!

3. Duracell 1200LM Hybrid LED Flashlight, 3-pack: $29.99

With hurricanes Helene and Milton top of mind right now for many people, there’s no better time to add some new flashlights to your emergency preparedness kit. Costco has a three-pack of Duracell LED flashlights with variable focus and 1200 lumen LEDs for a brilliant $29.99 through Oct. 20, 2024.

Walmart also has these flashlights on offer for $34.95.

4. Cuisinart Custom Select 2-slice Toaster: $29.99

I’m not going to lie, this one’s for me. I’ve been casually looking for a new toaster, and not willing to spend very much, except that I want one that will outlive me, so it’s been a hunt. Cuisinart makes appliances that last, and when they come with discounts and a special English Muffin mode, so much the better. Score one now for just $29.99 through Oct. 13, 2024.

Amazon also has this lovely toaster available, but at a higher price of $39.95.

5. Moen Verso 7″ Rainshower Spray Head: $37.99

From the kitchen, right to the shower for a huge upgrade from your old shower head. This Moen model is easy to install on almost any kind of plumbing, offers unlimited spray and coverage options, and it’s backed by Moen’s Lifetime Warranty. And it’s available at Costco through Oct. 16, 2024 for just $37.99.

Lowe’s also has this model in stock right now, but it’s $59.98.

6. Pyrex 10-piece Ultimate Glass Food Storage Set: $39.99

If you’ve been wanting to trade your plastic for something more substantial, the Ultimate Pyrex 10-piece set is exactly what you’re looking for. It’s dishwasher, freezer, microwave, and oven safe. And it’s $39.99 through Oct. 31, 2024 at Costco, with a limit of five per member, in case you were thinking about buying a bunch for the holidays.

7. Lasko Ceramic Tower Heater with Remote Control: $42.99

Winter is just around the corner, and if your house is like mine, having some reliable space heaters is a must. In fact, I bought this model of ceramic heater a few years ago and it’s still trucking, despite being in my cats’ favorite room (where all the hair and litter dust accumulates). Costco has them on offer through Oct. 20, 2024 for $42.99.

Walmart also has this model available, but expect to pay $73.88 there.

8. CHI Electronic Clothing Iron with Retractable Cord: $54.99

If you wear nice shirts or just have a fancy tablecloth you press from time to time, you might actually want a nice iron to go with it. Giving the gift of carbon monoxide detectors may not come with the biggest “wow” factor, but knowing that your friends and family will be safe from carbon monoxide for a decade is really a great feeling. Costco has a two-pack of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on offer right now for just $54.99 through Oct. 20, 2024.

Walmart also has these CO detectors available for $79.40.
